All through life we have doors that close on us and doors that open to us: college doors, marriage doors, promotion doors, opportunity doors. We are always looking to improve our lives and we knock on doors to get to the next level.

Often times, doors we try to open stay closed. Maybe there was something you really wanted or a person you really wanted to know, but that door closed. Other times we are in the doorway that’s open, and suddenly it becomes a closed door.

In this verse, the Apostle John gives us an insight that is so powerful. He says that God opens doors that no man can close, and God closes doors that all the man-power in the world could never open.

We need to make an effort keep this verse in front of us and let God know that we want what He wants! Let the Lord know that you only want to go through the doors that He opens. Let Him know the door that you would like Him to open but also let God know He can close that door if it’s not His will.

There has to be a level of surrender. You can’t be telling God, “This is what I have to have,” but rather, “Lord I only want to be where you are, because that’s where the blessing is.” Where God is, that’s where all the resources are supplied! Yes, there is opposition any where and yes, there is warfare any where; but when you are where God wants you to be, there is a level of grace that enables you to be sustained and to overcome.

This week practice saying, "Oh God, open that door that no man can shut. And close that door that no man can open.” It puts God in charge of your life and not the people around you that want to hinder you, who are jealous of you, or who can sandbag your process. Most people don’t want to see you get ahead.

No matter what your enemy’s say, no matter what your jealous relative thinks, or no matter what a person in power over you thinks they can do, if you tell God you want only the doors that He can open, you will be walking down a road where you won’t be hindered full-time! You will get where you’re supposed to be, do what you’re supposed to do and have what you’re supposed to have! Get your FREE copy of Pastor Billy's Personal Testimony!
