The word "mystery" in the Bible refers to what was once hidden and now is revealed. So what is the great mystery of godliness? What is the great motivation for living a godly life? What is the great power for godly living? It is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 3:16 says, for great is the mystery of godliness, He who was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.

While I desire to preach and to teach that you might grow in knowledge of the only true God and Jesus Christ the One whom He sent, my goal isn't simply to fill your head with knowledge but rather, to place Christ before you so that with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, you might be transformed to the same image from glory to glory, just as by God who is the Spirit and that the love of Christ might compel you to no longer live for yourself, but for Him who died and was raised for you.
