I CORINTHIANS 9:19 - 10:17 - PART 2 
 
Let's begin in I Corinthians Chapter 10. Now to these Corinthians who are plagued with all these temptations, and problems, and testings, Paul says in verse 13: 
I Corinthians 10:13 
"There hath no temptation (or testing) taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 
Let's look at Hebrews Chapter 4 for a moment. Remember, as believers we are going to face temptations everyday. Hebrews 4:14-16 
"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, (remember when Christ presented His own blood as we studied back in John 20, fulfilling the priesthood of Melchisedec the High Priest of all.) Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Hebrews 4:16 
God instituted it, The Lord has an open door policy. Well we need to start with I John Chapter 2, verse 15. Now verse 15: 
I John 2:15-17 
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. I have to tell people, "Look at the lives of some of our famous people - entertainers and such. They are living high on the hog, but for how long? Poor old Eve is going to be the first to face these areas of temptation that are common to all men. And as John listed them, the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. 
The guy was sinless, perfect. Genesis 3:6 
It just appealed to the eye) and a tree to be desired to make one wise, (there's the pride aspect. She had everything else, but now if she could be just as wise as God, that appealed to her pride), so she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, (now she wouldn't have eaten if she was stuffed full like after a Thanksgiving meal, so what must she have been? Hungry! And so the natural appetite was in high gear.) The lust of the eye, the pride of life and the lust of the flesh. Matthew 4:3,4 
thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.'" Well, if he's hungry, what does the thought of bread do? Look in verse 4. 
"But he answered and said, `It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.'" 
So many people mean well, but they've got their priorities upside down. So now, Jesus is saying, "Listen Satan, there is something more important than feeding the physical. Now in verse 5 Satan doesn't give up. Matthew 4:5,6 
"Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on the pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, `If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down; for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.'" 
We've already seen the first temptation, the lust of the flesh - hunger. A great showmanship event! Let's see what Jesus said: 
Matthew 4:7 
"Jesus said unto him, `It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.'" 
Now I don't suppose anybody really can understand this next temptation except politicians, or maybe military commanders. Someone who can get to the place of controlling massive numbers of people. Power just literally grabs them. That is what true pride is all about - to get control over other people. Now let's look what Satan does to Jesus. 
Matthew 4:8 
Jesus and Satan are both spiritual. Quite a temptation wasn't it? There are still the three categories of temptation. But what's our hope? Here again, we become people of choice. I Corinthians 10:14 
We don't worship idols today." Let's look at verse 15. As what kind of people? Wise men! 
I Corinthians 10:15 
One commentary I read said Paul doesn't write the book of Corinthians with a real continuity. I Corinthians 10:16 
"The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? (The Lord's table) The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?" 
Where is the first instance of presenting the cup, the wine, the grape juice, or whatever your particular church uses, and the broken bread? The Lord's upper room experience! You see, what I've always stressed to people when you look at those verses back there in the Four Gospels, is that even though Jesus did those two things, did He give any explanation? Matthew 26:28 
I Corinthians 10:17 
You remember in Jesus' earthly ministry and He told them that unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you cannot partake with me?

In the spiritual fields it is no different, GOD summons people who have the characteristics necessary to occupy a certain position in the GOSPEL, and these people need to study much the word of God, to be up to date, and to develop their spiritual activities within the PLAN OF GOD, and guided and directed by the HOLY SPIRIT. 
 
The HOLY SPIRIT needs people to develop the GOSPEL, so that the PLAN of SALVATION reaches as many people as possible, it is necessary that the preachers of the GOSPEL are fit and able to perform such a great work. 
 
Each one within the project that he set out to accomplish within the GOSPEL, some work with modest goals, and are modestly dedicated to the activity of the GOSPEL. 
 
Others already do bold projects, large projects that need efficient methods, and advanced techniques to reach as many people as possible. 
 
But for GOD, let each one do what he set out in his heart. 
 
But once he accepted the CALL, and made a purpose to bring as many people into the KINGDOM OF GOD. 
 
They can not give up or go back. 
 
You can not reduce the project, make a new project with only 50% of the previous project. 
 
When the person who was called, gives up the target. 
 
The spiritual forces that have been called upon to carry out such a project will have to reduce their number of collaborators by half, and their intensity of attention. 
 
So that the Lord Jesus may help us, we also have to do our part, and never give up. 
 
If possible, increasingly expand the project. 
 
So that a greater number of souls can be conquered. 
 
In today's study, let's talk about the apostle Paul. 
 
Paul reported here, in his first letter to the Corinthians, in chapter 9, verses 16 to 24. 
 
Paul speaking of himself, he said in verse 16: "FOR HIS ANNOUNCING THE GOSPEL, HE COULD NOT GLORY, EVEN IF I KNOW THE DEGREE OF THE RELEVANCE OF THE POST OF THE APOSTLE OF THE GOSPEL ". 
 
He said he could not boast because it is an obligation that was imposed on him. 
 
And it is a job that he would perform. 
 
But he said: "I WILL OF ME! 
 
IF I DO NOT ANNOUNCE THE GOSPEL". 
 
Dear brothers and sisters, this phrase: "I AM OF ME! 
 
IF I DO NOT ANNOUNCE THE GOSPEL". 
 
This word moved our brain because we are also preachers. 
 
And like Paul, we can not boast of the position we achieve. 
 
For it is our duty to preach the gospel. 
 
And also "AI OF US, IF WE DO NOT ANNOUNCE THE GOSPEL". 
 
The HOLY SPIRIT is revealing to us that if we do not announce the GOSPEL, many souls will get lost. 
 
And it will be our fault. 
 
Now we understand why Paul said "AI OF ME!". 
 
Imagine brothers, many people get lost because we do not perform our task because we stop doing GOD's work to live our own life, and we do not care about the souls that are perishing. It's a matter of life and death, it's as if a lifeguard is on the beach and watching people drowning, turn their backs and go elsewhere. See how serious this is. 
 
The Apostle Paul continues to give details of his trajectory, he says thus: "THAT HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO THIS WILL, HE WOULD HAVE TO DO WORK WITH GOOD WILL AND JOY, BECAUSE IF HE DID WELL DONE THE WORK, HE WILL RECEIVE THE PRIZE , BUT IF HE WOULD FAIL, THE CALL OF HIM WOULD NOT GO TO HOPE, AND HE SAID HE WORK WITH SO MUCH LOVE IN THE GOSPEL, THAT COULD NOT COVER ANYTHING OF ANYONE, HE DID NOT GET ANYTHING, JUST GAVE HIM. " 
 
In verse 20, he says that he made himself as a Jew, to win the Jews. He was made as if he were under the law, to gain those who were under the law. He also made himself as if he were without law, to win those who were without law: "I HAVE FAILED, TO WIN THE WEAKNESSES, I HAVE EVERYTHING FOR EVERYONE TO MAKE SOME." 
 
In verse 23: "I DO ALL THIS BY LOVE TO THE GOSPEL TO ALSO BE A PARTICIPANT OF THE GOSPEL, AND BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE GOSPEL." 
 
Dear Brothers, Paul did his best for the Gospel at the end of his life, Paul was aware that he had conquered the LIFE CROWN, that his name was in the BOOK OF LIFE. And the GOSPEL OF PAUL was so efficient that it conquered the world. And today, the GOSPEL OF PAUL still saves millions and millions of people. 
 
We of the LIBERTOS FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, we are also aware of our responsibility before the GOSPEL, WE WILL NOT GIVE UP, WE WILL NOT DO IT WITH WILL, BUT LET'S DO IT WITH JOY, WE WILL MEET OUR GOAL TO MAKE A MILLION SOULS FOR GOD , AND WE WANT TO OVERCOME IT.

AMEN GLORY TO GOD.

In the spiritual fields it is no different, GOD summons people who have the characteristics necessary to occupy a certain position in the GOSPEL, and these people need to study much the word of God, to be up to date, and to develop their spiritual activities within the PLAN OF GOD, and guided and directed by the HOLY SPIRIT.

The HOLY SPIRIT needs people to develop the GOSPEL, so that the PLAN of SALVATION reaches as many people as possible, it is necessary that the preachers of the GOSPEL are fit and able to perform such a great work.

Each one within the project that he set out to accomplish within the GOSPEL, some work with modest goals, and are modestly dedicated to the activity of the GOSPEL.

Others already do bold projects, large projects that need efficient methods, and advanced techniques to reach as many people as possible.

But for GOD, let each one do what he set out in his heart.

But once he accepted the CALL, and made a purpose to bring as many people into the KINGDOM OF

Daily Light on the Daily Path or Daily Light is a Christian daily devotional scripture reading published continually since 1875. It consists of brief groupings of scripture passages which speak to prominent Biblical themes—two themes (morning and evening) for each day of the year. It appends no commentary, but simply allows scripture to speak for itself. 
 
reflectFive can be used for Lectio Divina (Latin for "divine reading"), which is a practice (originating with the Benedictines) of slow, contemplative praying of Scripture, treating it not as a text to be studied, but as the Living Word. The purpose of Lectio Divina is to increasingly offer more of ourselves and our relationships to the Father, and to accept the embrace that God is continuously extending to us in the person of his son, Jesus Christ. Lectio Divina comprises four main movements: read, meditate, pray, and contemplate. Pauses for reflection between Scripture quotations in reflectFive are five seconds in length.
