WHAT CAN YOU LEARN FROM SOLOMON ABOUT MAKING AND CARRYING OUT PLANS? 
 
 
Verse 13 summarizes the Temple's main purpose. God promised that his eternal presence would never leave the Temple as long as one condition was met-the Israelites had to obey God's law. Knowing how many laws they had to follow, we may think this condition was difficult. But the Israelite's situation was much like ours today: they were not cut off from God for failing 
to keep some small subpoint of a law. Forgiveness was amply provided for all their sins, no matter how large or small. As you read the history of the kings, you will see that the lawbreaking was the result, not the cause, 
of estrangement from God. The kings abandoned God in their hearts first and then failed to keep his laws. When we close our hearts to God his power and presence soon leave us.

Today 2022 challenge is impossible. What is "insuperably difficult" that you can see or feel? Is it; COVID-19, marriage rage, financial rage, tragic events/news rage, sudden illness rage, children rage? When all your ways are fenced in, and you see no hope, don’t forget we are serving God whose power is unlimited. 
During Northern Israel apostasy, there was disregard for the word of God. This time Ben-Hadad, king of Aram, mobilized his soldiers to besiege the entrance of Samaria. No one could enter or go out to buy or sell, leading to scarcity and famine. When a city like Samaria faced famine, it was not a small matter. However, its farmers grew enough food to feed the people for a specific season. They did not have enough to maintain them all year round and in prolonged times of emergency. This famine was so severe that mothers resorted to eating their children (6: 26-30). 
Prophet Elisha prophesied in 7: 1, “Hear the word of the LORD. This is what the LORD says: About this time tomorrow, a seah of the finest flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.” However, the economic adviser to the king, whose knowledge of marketing, economics, supply chain was renowned and respected in their city, said in verse two emphatically that, “Look, even if the LORD should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?” “You will see it with your own eyes,” answered Elisha, “but you will not eat any of it!” This expert was talking from reality on the ground. His knowledge, expertise, experience, faith and hope; name it couldn't believe this. To say that God cannot rescue someone or situation demonstrates a lack of faith. 7: 3-10; The Lord used the lepers to discover the abundance and relayed it to the king. 7: 12 Even the king concluded that the report of the four leprous men was part of an Aramean war strategy rather than evidence of the fulfillment of Elisha's prophecy. When our resources are low, and our doubts are strongest, remember God can open the floodgates of heaven. 7: 16-20, the economic officer who doubted the prophecy was chosen as the managing officer of the booty, but the hungry people trampled him according to prophet Elijah's prophecy. 
Much of our lives are swallowed up in doubt and the discouraging belief, we imagine God as helpless and failed. The solution is obvious. "What is impossible for people is possible with God" (Luke 18: 27). As we continue the year 2022, trust God when you pray, express your fears and doubts, but let your hearts circle back to faith, read your daily guide (Bible); in it, you will find life and guidance. Matt. 12: 37, ”For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words, you will be condemned.” Job 22: 28, “You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” Tell God he is your rock, your fortress, your deliverer. When you think it is impossible, the God of impossible changes everything.
