7 For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. 8 But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned. 
9 Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation. 10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. 11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Why Mess With Grace (Hebrews 6:7-20)

Our Vision is "Jesus Famous" in all we do.

Calvary Monterey longs to see the fame of Christ. By fame, we mean His glory, His renown, or, to borrow from Colossians, His preeminence (Colossians 1:18). We want every man and woman to personally become enraptured by His grace, His forgiveness, and  His love. When individual souls come to appreciate the magnitude of Christ, His cross, His gospel, then communities are transformed. When Christ is famous, personally and then collectively, our motivations change, our lives are bettered, and our disappointments diminish. When Jesus is famous, everything changes and He becomes our passion, because His love is better than life.

Hebrews 6:1-12 -- Jesus Is Our Best Pursuit

We exist to fulfil the Great Commission given by the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:16, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; ….”.

Our Mission therefore, is to lead the way in bringing all people to Jesus Christ. He clearly stated “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me”.  We desire to lead those in our community and people around the world into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Bethlehem Missionary Church is an environment where everyone, regardless of race, nationality or social status is welcomed and feel at home.  Scripture makes it clear that “as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Also, I preach once saved always saved, you cannot lose your salvation (Ephesians 4:30), otherwise again your belief would be then about works and maintenance of salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9/Titus 3:5/Galatians 2:16) and that is against the Word of God (Galatians 1:8-9)

It would seem that our writer has opened the door for the doctrine which states that born-again Christians can lose their salvation. But in our study we discovered that this is not what he was teaching. Rather, what was brought out was the hardness of the natural man's heart into deceiving himself thinking that an association with the things of God is the same as a relationship with God by faith in Christ.
