Sadly marriage has been perverted in the society we live in today, we see this as the enemy seeks to blind people to sin. 
 
 
Marriage is not perfect, it comes with arguments and disagreements so instead of running to other people or things to feel better we need to run to prayer when these situations come up. 
 
 
 
When people let arguments lead to a divorce those people want to start another marriage right away but then realize they bring the same problems into the next marriage. 
 
 
There is forgiveness after divorce, the enemy brings condemnation to those who have divorced, but God is always forgiving if there is true repentance!

3 And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one's wife for any cause?” 4 He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” 7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?” 8 He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.” 
10 The disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.” 11 But he said to them, “Not everyone can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given. 12 For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.” (Matthew 19:1-12, ESV)

"Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all?"  That was a question asked in Jesus' day, and it is a question still being asked today.  Regarding marriage, divorce, and remarriage, people have many questions, and typically they desire to know the right answers.  However, when the Pharisees came to Jesus asking Him this question, they were not searching for truth.  They were trying to trick the Lord hoping He would answer in such a way as to upset some and turn them against Him.  Nevertheless, the Son of God answered as He often did when asked a loaded question.  He quoted scripture, and in so doing, He revealed to the Pharisees and those listening that they were asking the wrong question.  They were asking how to end a marriage before God intended all marriages to end...in death.  Are we doing the same today?  Are we asking questions about divorce in order to prematurely figure a way out of God's original term for marriage?  In his continuing study of Matthew's gospel account, join Kevin Patterson of Sebring, Florida, as he preaches a sermon from Matthew 19:1-12 to the Sebring Parkway church of Christ entitled, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
