There are five kinds of righteousness. There are the "filthy rags" of our own attempts to do religious works, our self-righteousness. There is the righteousness that ordinary people possess to a greater or lesser extent. There is the righteousness of Christ that is ascribed to the person who puts his faith in Jesus and lives according to the Spirit of God. Then there is the beginning Christian righteousness which is a joint venture of the adamic nature and the Spirit of God.
Finally there is the fifth form of righteousness. It is the righteous personality and behavior that are created in the Christian as he follows the Lord, counting his personality crucified with Christ and risen with Christ. Christ is formed in him and God and Christ make the new creation their eternal dwelling place. The fifth kind of righteousness is the Kingdom of God.
