I wrote on this subject about seven years ago. It came back to me today. It appears that many if not all of the Kingdom concepts God has given me have come back for review, during the past two years.
The concept of the three temptations is basic, foundational, to the idea of man and his reconciliation to God. It is made in three parts, his body, soul, and spirit. Each of these three components must be delivered completely from sin if man is to be totally reconciled to God.
The work of redemption, of reconciliation, commences with forgiveness for our sins. We obtain forgiveness through the blood atonement made on the cross of Calvary. By the blood atonement we are reconciled to God, in a legal sense, we might say.
But God desires more than a legal reconciliation. We are God’s offspring, His children. It is not enough that God forgives us on the basis of the atonement made on the cross. God has created us to be His home, His resting place, and the eternal location of His Throne.
Because of this we must be completely redeemed from the hand of the enemy, Satan. There must be no work of Satan found in our body, our soul, or our spirit.
Can we be redeemed to this extent? Absolutely. Notice the calendar below, as expressed by the Prophet Hosea:
After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. (Hosea 6:2)
Thinking of these three days as thousand-year periods of the program of redemption, the first two days have been devoted to the forgiveness of our sins. The third day, which I believe we are entering at the present time, is the period of restoration—restoration of all that has been stolen by Satan.
