Why Am I Doing This?

I have been preaching for several years about living by the Life of Jesus, looking to Him for all we think, say, and do.
I am interested also in the "rest of God," that the Book of Hebrews points toward as the goal of our Christian discipleship. For the life of me, I cannot understand why we do not hear more preaching about the rest of God. It is evident that all the passages in the Book of Hebrews must be interpreted in terms of the exhortation for us to cease from our own works and enter the rest of God.
Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. (Hebrews 4:1)
Then it began to dawn of me that these two experiences, living by the Life of Jesus and entering the rest of God are one and the same. To enter the rest of God is to live by the Life of the Lord Jesus.
