Today we begin a brand-new Church year, and the beginning of the Advent Season. Which mean that we will once again put our full emphasis on the Lord Jesus, and specifically on His three-fold coming.
1.How He came to earn forgiveness for all people with His holy sinless life.
2.How He comes to us right now to deliver that forgiveness of sins through His Means of Grace-His Word and Sacrament.
3.And how He will come again on the Last Day to raise the bodies of all the faithful Christians who believed and trusted in Him, and reunite their body with their soul to put on immortality!
So, let’s dig in to this very familiar first Sunday in Advent text!
