What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? It is easy to define this word with synonyms like follower, learner, or student, but what does it really mean? What does it really involve? When calling His first disciples, Jesus said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." A disciple is not a passive observer. A disciple is an active participant in the ministry of his master. A disciple of Jesus walks in His footsteps, seeks out those who are lost in sin, and extends to them the salvation that the Master offers. A disciple is a fisher of men.
