Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching verse-by-verse through The Gospel of John in this sermon from John 4:27-45 entitled, “Jesus and the Woman at the Well (Part 3).”

John’s purpose in John 4:1-45 is to record the teaching of Jesus as He conversed with Samaritan woman by the well in Samaria. In vs.27-45, the Samaritan woman responds to Jesus’ witness to Himself as the Christ and does the faithful work of witnessing to her neighbors and bringing them to Jesus. Jesus points His disciples to be about the same work, using the metaphor of sowing and harvesting to teach them to obey the Father’s will by bringing people into the Kingdom of God.

The following is a sermon on John 4:27-45, and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
