Today’s Verses: 1 Corinthians 1:26–29 (NKJV)
“For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise… that no flesh should glory in His presence.”
God loves to go to the back of the line. He sees the ones the world calls misfits, nobodies, and “less than,” and He says, “I’ll take that one.” The Lord delights to take the outcast, the overlooked, the weak, and the broken and make them trophies of His grace so that no one can boast in themselves, only in Him.
So today, lay down any craving for the world’s approval and rest in the fact that God has already “picked you out of the crowd” in Christ. Stop letting old labels, family history, or past rejection hang over you like a cloud, and instead thank Him that He chose you, forgave you, and gave you a new identity in His Son.
