Today’s Verse: 1 John 3:20 (NKJV)
“For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.”
Some of us grew up in performance-based homes where love felt earned, not given. It is easy to drag that mindset into our relationship with God and live under a constant cloud of “not enough.” But His Word says something very different: even when your heart condemns you, God is greater than your heart. He knows you fully, inside and out, and still chose to love you, to forgive you, and to call you His own in Christ.
So today, refuse to let your feelings, your past, or your inner critic have the final word about who you are. Bring your self-condemnation to Jesus and agree with what He says instead of what your guilt says. Thank Him that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and that His goodness leads you to repentance, not fear or shame.
