Lydia was a woman who worshipped God according to her knowledge of Him. When Paul and Silas and his team arrived in Philippi, the Lord opened her heart to attend to the things Paul were speaking about. She was baptized and her household, she persuaded Paul and the missionaries to stay at her house.
