“They brought to him a deaf man who had difficulty speaking and begged Jesus to lay his hand on him.” Here is where our compassionate Jesus comes in. The Bible says that He took the man away from the crowd in private. Then Jesus put his fingers in the man’s ears and then he spit and he touched the man’s tongue. Then he looked up to heaven, he sighed deeply and said to him, “Be opened!”. The Bible says, “Immediately his ears were opened, his tongue was loosened, and he began to speak clearly." Jesus tells them not to tell anyone, but the more he ordered them, the more they told people. It’s not ok to disobey what Jesus asks us to do, but we can surely understand how excited they were and how they wanted to praise him by telling others. They were extremely astonished and said, “He has done everything well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

The same Jesus that loved this man, he loves us too. And he came to earth as a new born baby to live a perfect life. He did no wrong so that he could save us and make us clean. Just like Jesus came to this man and he met him where we was, unable to speak or hear. He gracefully showed the man how he could help him. Jesus wants to do the same thing for us. He wants to come to us wherever we are and gently show us how he can help us too. Do you trust in Jesus? Do you have faith in him? Are you telling your friends about Him? Pray about those things today.
