A little child was being disciplined and was told to sit down. Her response to her father was, “I may be sitting down on the outside but I’m standing up on the inside.” That epitomizes obstinance. Too many times are we like that little child. We want what we want regardless of what God says or the consequences that come with that obstinance. Gods desire is that we humble ourselves before Him and be obedient to His word. That is the path of blessing.
