The Heavenly Cloud was Jane Lead's first published book and foundational writing. Here she explains the four-fold mystical death process, which will ultimately lead soul to the much coveted "union" with God. The four stages she describes are death, resurrection, ascension and glorification. She meticulously breaks down each stage, tells the reader its purpose or design, how to respond while under its influence, and how to finally overcome it. As an introduction to the whole mystical death process, we discover that all of her other books build upon the base that she establishes here. Also contains four poems written by Mrs. Lead. Full title: The Heavenly Cloud Now Breaking; The Lord Christ’s Ascension-Ladder sent down, to show the way to reach the Ascension, and Glorification, through the Death and Resurrection.
ABOUT JANE LEAD:
Jane Lead (1624-1704) was a 17th century English mystic and privileged recipient of a series of divine messages handed down by the Lord Jesus Christ. These messages, received through visions, dreams, and revelatory knowledge, concern the soon-coming Kingdom of God’s Love, both inwardly in the soul, and outwardly upon this mortal visible world. The messages are directed to “Wisdom’s Children,” who are those that have ears to hear the Love-Trumpet sounding, telling them that the restitution of all things is at hand. These chosen ones will be called out from the Babylonish principle, in order to enter a new school of learning; Divine Wisdom herself will be assigned as Teacher and Guide. The soul will learn how to direct itself in this process of preparation, and how to overcome many temptations and obstacles. Successfully completion of this training will qualify the soul to become an administrator in the Kingdom of God’s Love when it appears visibly in this world. These faithful ones are called by many names, including, Nazarites, Melchizedek Priests, and the 144,000. For more information about this wonderful mystical writer, visit

ABOUT THE SPIRIT'S DAY VERSION:
The goal of the Spirit's Day Version (SDV) is to assist the modern reader wherever archaic language might prove difficult in reading and understanding these glorious and magnificent mysteries. The paramount ambition was to remain faithful to the text, while preserving the beautiful writing style of this mystical Author, as well as the classical flavor of the time period. The SDV is not a paraphrase, thus the Author’s beautiful prose and unique terminology remain intact. Features updated language and paragraph numbering. Archaic words were replaced, as well as archaic spellings. Long paragraphs have been broken down into manageable portions. When no chapter divisions were present in the original, the writings were divided into such, with paragraph numbering throughout. The result is an excellent study version where passages can be easily identified and cross-referenced. Extreme care has been taken to ensure that unique message remains untouched.
