Jesus Turns Water into Wine - Understanding the Wedding at Cana (John 2:1-11)

In this series, we examine four Old Testament pictures of the coming Messiah: Light of the World, Suffering Servant, Humble King and God with Us. In this message, we contemplate what it means that Jesus, whose birth we celebrate at Christmas, is Emmanuel — God with Us! In this episode, Jesus forgives the sins of a paralytic. The local religious teachers are incensed and call it blasphemy because only God can forgive sins. Jesus asks them which is easier, forgiving sins or healing a paralytic. Then gives them proof of his authority to forgive sins by healing the paralytic.
