I was a remote Medical Transcriptionist for St. Joseph's Hospital when a stranger knocked at my door holding a note and infant in a carseat. The note read: If I'm found unresponsive, please take my baby to (had my address). I had this baby 6 days a week when came: "could you keep my baby, I have an interview" and "I need to go to school, but my benefits haven't been approved." I looked up and had a house full! Someone said to me "ma'am, you need a license. I obtained my Director's license and have now been operating since 2002. Transcribing at night, i ran daycare by day & homeschooled my own 3 children. My children are 28 (Physician Assistant); 25 musician in/out jail and 22 (welder). Why are daycares in my area not taking older children who are now homeschooled?
