Ruth and Naomi do not have a hopeful future and to even have the possibility of getting enough to eat Ruth must put herself at great risk to gather food. But in this dire situation the providence of God leads her to receive the kindness of Boaz. From this passage we can glean much about our God that can help serve us in our own dire situation.
