King David gives his last speach which points us to Jesus.

King David returns after defeating Absalom.  As he returns he meets, Shimei, Mephibosheth, and Barzillai.

David's lament reminds us that all sin leads to death.  We lament because we love.  David loved God's people specifically Saul and Jonathon.  Lamenting correctly motivates us to righteousness.  While failing to lament often causes us to harbor anger and bitterness.

2 Samuel 1:17-27 Lamenting for Good

David responds with mourning to the death of Saul.  We see the judgment of God in Saul's death and the death of the Amalekite messenger.  God's judgment is certain.  God's judgment is death. The Royal king is the answer.
