God promises to provide for our needs. Sometimes He does so through unusual and unexpected means. Our part is to trust and obey.

God Provides (1 Kings 16:33 - 17:16)

Romans 6:21-23 doesn't merely give some support to conditional immortality. Rather, it teaches conditional immortality in a clear and straightforward way. After pointing this out, most of this video focuses on my reply to the common traditionalist counterargument. I take a look at the meaning of "death" throughout Romans. I find that it is often used literally, but sometimes figuratively. But, the figurative uses do not support the traditional view.

Romans 6:21-23 Teaches Conditional Immortality

In this final video in my series on Babylon in Revelation, we see that God completely destroys Babylon. God avenges the blood of his people and pays Babylon back for all of its sin. Truths brought out in this video include: 
1. Babylon looks good now, but when we see how God plans to destroy it, Babylon becomes less tempting. 
2. God does not want us to take revenge ourselves, but He does pay back evil. 
3. God's vengeance and wrath are proportional out people's sins. 
3a. Praise God, He is willing to forgive and not treat us as our sins deserve. 
4. God wrath results in His enemies' death and in them being burned up. 
5. Points 2-4 above support the doctrine of annihilationism against the wrong doctrine of eternal torment. 
6. Now we have mixed feelings when we see evil people destroyed, but we will rejoice when God destroys all evil at the end of this age.

As we read about the 7 bowls of God's wrath, we learn that: 
1. God's wrath is fitting for what people deserve 
2. Many people will not repent as they harden their hearts 
3. As God's people we are called to remain faithful and to keep serving Him in the midst of this dark and difficult world 
 
While this passage is not explicitly about final judgment, because it is about God's wrath and judgments, there are principles that are relevant to the nature of final judgment. I believe that the Bible teaches conditional immortality (also known as annihilationism). The first principle above is a major problem for the doctrine of eternal torment. The second principle (explained more fully in the video) is a major problem for the doctrine of universalism.

As we read about the 7 bowls of God's wrath, we learn that:
1. God's wrath is fitting for what people deserve
2. Many people will not repent as they harden their hearts
3. As God's people we are called to remain faithful and to keep serving Him in the midst of this dark and difficult world

Revelation 14:9-11 is one of the top three or four prooftexts used by traditionalists to attempt to show that the Bible teaches eternal torment for the lost. In this video, I seek to explain why this passage does not teach eternal torment. I do this by setting the passage in the larger context of Revelation 14:9-20 and the still larger context of symbolic language used throughout the Bible. I also mention places where the Bible explicitly teaches annihilationism in plain, straightforward language.

In John's vision an angel declares that we should "fear God and give Him glory." The same angel proclaims two big truths about God: (1) God created everything and (2) God will judge everyone. In this video we look at these words of the angel and see how they relate to Paul's teaching on general Revelation in Romans 1 and 2.
