We actually believe what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross (
Romans 5:6-13,
1 Corinthians 15:1-4,
Ephesians 1:13,
Romans 4:5,
2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Our belief in no way gets us reconciled to God. We know that reconciliation is God's work and the verses are past tense. We simply believe what God tells us is true and are reconciled in our own mind as it is in God's mind (
Colossians 1:19-20,
2 Corinthians 5:20 KJB). We still need to believe the gospel to be saved/justified/made the righteousness of God in Christ. The gospel is us believing in the reconciliation. It is the HOW Christ died for our sins from
1 Corinthians 15:3 KJB, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them
2 Corinthians 5:19 KJB. We teach against the “another gospel” that “sins are not forgiven until you believe the gospel” because our King James Bible does not say that in any way shape or form.
