Is there anything we have to look forward to in this world as the result of the ongoing subjection of our Lord's enemies? We consider the following: 
 
* The fact that Jesus is reigning now can give us the confidence that everything will work out as God has planned. 
* If the Father is indeed systematically subduing Jesus' enemies under His feet, we should be able to have confidence that things will improve dramatically in this world before He returns. 
 
We are urged to be encouraged by these truths and live in the light of them. If Jesus is not yet our King, it is imperative that we submit to Him now in the time of His grace, and not later in the time of His justice.

Jesus warns His disciples to beware of the hypocrisy of the scribes and the Pharisees. They loved to draw attention, honor and glory to themselves and away from God. 
 
Likewise, we are warned to watch out for hypocrisy in the church of our day - people seeking honor for themselves, and to watch out for it in ourselves too, as fallen men and women. 
 
Jesus is the only One who, by His Spirit, can clean out the inside of people, so that the outside and the inside are in harmony (something that is not true of hypocrites).

After entering the temple and seeing people dishonoring God by making it a trade of worldly profit as opposed to a place of prayer and worship, Jesus became offended. 
From His example, we are challenged to seek for a zeal that is strong enough to make us willing to do whatever the Lord should call us to do, whatever consequences we may have to face.

What will make you more willing to deny your flesh and yield yourself fully to the Spirit? 
 
It will be seeing by faith the unseen, spiritual realities that are yours in Christ, and understanding that they are more real, and more lasting than the things we can see and taste and touch in this world.

* Hell does exist - we can learn this from creation and from the Bible. 
* You should be afraid of it. 
* God has provided a way of escape from Hell through believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. 
 
Don't let your sins drag you down into the unquenchable flames. You can escape it. Trust Jesus and be safe!

Jesus tells us what would happen after He departed this world for glory. He would send the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit would work in different ways in the hearts of those who know God and those who do not. 
 
In this message, we review these various ministries of the Spirit. We see that if people are going to change, their hearts have to change. The truth needs to be driven from the head to the heart, and that is what happens more abundantly in a revival.

You've seen the mistakes they've made, the sins they've committed - even though they call themselves Christians, and so you haven't been able to bring yourself to listen to them when they've tried to tell you about the Gospel. 
 
The real problem is not with them, though; it is with your heart. The message they bring is the only thing that can save you from eternal punishment. Stop looking for excuses not to listen to the Gospel. Stop criticizing the messenger and instead listen to the message. Trust Jesus and be safe.
