When life gets hard, don’t quit! 
You are more fierce than the lion from Proverbs 30:30, here's how to not quit and to keep going even when things are hard. 
 
Why Not Quit 
 
“I want to quit.” How often do you say that statement or feel like you’re on the verge of saying it? 
That’s our topic for today, and my plea is for you to not quit your health program, your exercise program. You're believing in God and how much he loves you. So, don't quit. 
 
Today we're going to discuss why you should never quit and how to not quit. Maybe you're a mom or a dad or a maybe a pastor or a pastor's wife or maybe a missionary and you know, life is tough. You know, maybe you're sick, you're tired, you're just not feeling well. 
 
It's tough. Sometimes the road gets hard but don’t ever quit. Maybe people are putting you down. Maybe there's just a lot of drama or trauma or whatever going on. But stop quitting. This is so important. I want to share with you that God loves you and because of that, you can be confident in your future. You can be confident with your health and you can be confident in understanding that he has a purpose for you. 
 
God is Always with You, So Don’t Quit 
 
There have been times I have quit eating healthy. It's like, oh, just give me the ice cream. Or just give me that pork chop or shrimp. Like I'm totally over that. But, you know, there's just been other times like, I don't want to exercise today. I'm just in a real rebellious spirit. And when we went to quit, that's where we are. We're in a rebellious spirit when we know that we should not quit eating healthy, studying God's word, relating to God on a personal basis because just as we are physical, we are spiritual. And just as we are spiritual, we are physical. We can not, there's no time period in our life that we can quit treating our body as the temple of the Holy Spirit. There is no time in our, in our lifespan where we can give up treating this body as a gift. Dr Adrian Rogers, he says, you can treat your body as steward, which means you're just taking care of it. So there's no excuse to ever quit taking care of it as a Christian. 
 
Proverbs 30:30 - An Inspiring Lion Proverbs 
 
Let's look at this Christian motivation in proverbs 30:30. It says, “The lion, which is mighty beast and does not retreat before any”. that's what God is saying to us. Proverbs 30:30 meaning is saying, okay, you are stronger than a lion you have available to you the strength of alliance. Actually better than that because you are made in God's image. A lion is an animal, but God is using this example of the lion. The lion does not retreat. The lion will always stand firm and that's what we need to do. 
 
An Important Component to Help You Stop Quitting 
 
Do not retreat. Don't quit. Don't retreat. We are in this in this lifetime right now. This is a season that we are in and I just want to encourage you, I want to plead with you. I have gone through so many struggles, but I'm here to tell you, you can turn it around. You can start disciplining your body, as well as your spirit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBwep03h52s 
 
Discipline leads us to godliness and when we don't and when we're ready to quit, it's because we have removed discipline from our life and when we remove discipline from our life, we are susceptible to other things. We are susceptible to man's ideas. We are susceptible to people's thoughts. You know, think about job and how his family and friends, they kind of turned on him, but that's not unusual. We have that today. We have family and friends that turn on us today. Okay, so these things are going to creep. Many struggles are going to come, diagnosis that are going to come, job troubles are going to happen, but don't quit giving up on your healthy eating https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SKMOrAvM-o&t=61s 
 
Continue doing your exercise, keep studying the scripture and strengthen your relationship with God. Do not quit because that is the stronghold that will keep you strong for the future and strong for today. 
 
This is so important. God says, I will never leave you or forsake you. That's a promise. That's a promise that he's given to you. Don't let any person or any video or any theory teach you otherwise. God has a purpose for you. Remember in Joshua as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. That's a daily commitment and Daniel, he said, I made up my mind. That's a daily commitment. I just want to tell you, yes, times are tough. Life is tough, sickness is rampant, epidemic. Obesity is pain, pain, joint pain, epidemic, and it just causes us to just be tired. And some of you are like, I know I'm just tired. I understand than start where you are. Start claiming victory for what God is going to do in your life. Start stepping forward in his word.
