Hello! my name is Anthony Forsyth and I'm the head pastor of Calvary Baptist Church located at 724 S. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank, CA 91502. It is my goal to teach the Bible in a deep, thorough, and yet understandable manner, with both passion and an acute awareness for the importance of what it is: God's breathed out word. As such, I predominately teach the Bible a book at a time, going verse by verse, ensuring each part of it is seen within its own context. In particular I ensure to highlight the Old Testament background within the context to New Testament passages. Doing so ensures we are letting the Bible speak to us rather than imposing our own traditions and biases upon it. This kind of teaching is always illuminating, exciting and potentially life changing.
