Christ Fellowship Baptist Church Sunday School 

In our last few lessons, we began a new chapter in the history of the nation of Israel; That is the study of the nation of Israel, from slaves in Egypt, to the united nation under King David. So far we have studied the oppression of the children of Israel by the Egyptians, the birth of Moses, the Exodus from Egypt, Yahweh’s provision for the children of Israel in the wilderness, the song Moses wrote to the children of Israel just before his death, how Yahweh appointed judges after the death of Joshua, in particular, the account of the call of Gideon by Yahweh to judge His people. In this lesson, we will learn of the transition of Israel from judges to kings.

October 23, 2022 Who Will Be King ? 1 Sam 8:1-9; 1 Sam 10 :17-25

We have been studying Isaiah and his prophetic messages concerning Israel and their deliverance from the Babylonian captivity. We have learned that more importantly these passages speak of the deliverance of the children of men out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God. This lesson is one of the Messianic prophecies of Isaiah. Isaiah was one of the most quoted prophets of the New Testament church because so many of his prophecies spoke of the Messiah. This passage also reveals events that speaks to Kingdom citizens today. In this lesson we will be studying the message of comfort that Yahweh gives to His people concerning His protection and deliverance from their enemies.

June 26, 2022 God Offers Deliverance Isaiah 51:1-8, 12-13

In this lesson we will be studying the prophecy of restoration for the Israelites after their return to Jerusalem from the Babylonian captivity, and how all of these events speaks to Kingdom citizens today. This is a continuation of one of the Messianic prophecies of Isaiah. Isaiah was one of the most quoted prophets of the new testament church because so many of his prophecies spoke of the Messiah.  So let's get into our lesson. Last time we left off with the ones set free from captivity singing and rejoicing at their release.

June 19, 2022 God's Restored People Shall Prosper Isaiah 49:14-26

In this lesson, We will be looking at the role of the judges and priests in Yahweh's judicial system. And the charges He gave them concerning judging the people. This lesson takes place on the banks of the Jordan River just before the Children of Israel crossed over to take possession of the land promised to Abraham by Yahweh. Moses reminds them of who they are, and gives them last minute instructions to guide them on the rest of their journey of conquest, and to life beyond the river.
