In our passage this week we see Jesus cast out a demon that was causing a person to be mute. The religious leaders quickly accuse
Jesus of casting out the demon by the power of Beelzebul. Jesus points out to them that a house divided cannot stand thus he is not using the power of Satan to cast out Satan’s demons.
Jesus goes on to give us further understanding about demons and the importance of not leaving the house empty after a demon leaves. In our world today often we don’t talk about demons. However the Scriptures talk a great deal about them. Join us this week as we talk
about the power and authority Jesus has over all things and we remember that He has shown this power through the sign of Jonah.
