Oh, bless the Lord – yes, the Lord – o my soul!
All now within me, bless God's holy name;
do not forget Love's own benefit
and bless the Lord – yes, the Lord – o my soul!
Who has forgiven you, healed your disease?
Who has redeemed you with loving mercies?
And who has raised you? Who's yet amazed
you? Bless the Lord – yes, the Lord – o my soul!
Lord, you provide vindication: you've blessed
justice for me when I'm hurt or oppressed.
In you I face compassion and grace,
patience and love you abound for my soul!
