O Lord, from heaven’s rainbow throne
take note of humankind:
that mercy seat is yours alone;
this need you see is mine.

You form our thoughts and watch our works
and wait, as we, for love.
Deliver us as danger lurks.
Send manna from above.

On you our secret souls depend,
O Lord, our help, our shield!
In joy, in trust, we name you Friend.
Your love’s our hope revealed.
