For the past few weeks now, we have been with Jesus in Jerusalem, in the temple, during holy week, listening to Him teach about the kingdom of God thru the use of some of His most discerning parables on heaven and hell.

And during this entire time, the Pharisees and other enemies of Jesus have been challenging His authority and seeking ways to trick Him into some kind of crime against the state that could then be used against Him with the Roman authorities; this is a key contextual point to today’s study.
