God’s Message today is: “JESUS CHRIST TRIUMPHANT” We shall direct your attention to the Old Testament Book of Isaiah, Chapter 63, and Verse 1, which reads: “Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.” 
 
WE CAN never speak of our Lord as we would! We select the richest metaphors of Scripture, the ideals of poets, the masterpieces of the rarest art; but none of them suffice. We steep our thought with fragments from the diaries and autobiographies of the saints. We meditate on His words till our hearts begin to burn! But we come back to the light of common days, and the summons of daily tasks, knowing that we have Him, but what He is neither tongue can tell nor heart conceive. We await, therefore, with some impatience, till the veil will part asunder and we shall see Him as He is. 
 
The wistful yearning after Christ, which has characterized every age, has broken out again and again in transcendent expression, but among all the imaginings of sanctified and glowing souls, it is hard to find one more suggestive and inspiring than this pre-vision of Isaiah. He is standing on the foothills of the Judean table-land, looking due south toward Edom, when he is startled by an unexpected and extraordinary spectacle.

For our topic this morning we shall use this thought: “THE ALL-SUFFICIENCY OF CHRIST” Please turn your Bibles to the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 33, Verses 21 and 22, where we are told “But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby. For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.” 
 
THE Revised Version translates our text "Jehovah will be with us in Majesty." 
 
The reference can only be to our Saviour, who is the Divine Vice-regent of the world. Through Him it was created, by Him it has been redeemed, in Him its government is vested. He is King of kings, and Lord of lords. His are the Glories of the Cross, of Victory over Death and Hell, of the Ascension, of Pentecost, of the Millennial Reign, of the Judgment Seat! 
 
And this Glorious and Transcendent Saviour is willing and eager to be the complement of our deficiencies and needs. We look around, and some of us, as we compare our lot with others, lament, even if we do not audibly complain, at our disadvantages.

The All Sufficency Of Christ - Isaiah 33:21 & 22

God’s message for today is “ILLUMINATED LIVES”, and we shall direct your attention to two books of Literature from the Old Testament. The first being Proverbs, 20 and 27 which reads “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” And Palm 18 and 28 which reads “For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.” 
 
THE TABERNACLE constructed by Moses, and Solomon's Temple were modelled on the divine pattern, and consisted of three parts, outer Court, with its altar and laver, facing the world of human life; the Holy of Holies, facing the unseen and divine; between them, the Holy place, with its candlestick, altar, and table. 
 
Transfer that picture to your own nature. The body is the outer court, and through it we touch the world around us; the spirit is our most holy place, and through it we enter into fellowship with God; the soul lies between the two, the seat of our personality, including conscience, will, intellect, and emotion.

God’s message for today is an invitation to be of good courage in all that we do. Be of a humble heart and mind as we run the race which God has set before us. Keep your heart and mind upon your walk with Christ and not that of others. 
 
 We shall use this thought for God’s Message: “THE ROYAL TRIUMPH”. For our scriptural text, we would like to direct your attention to the Gospel according to Matthew, Chapter 21, Verses 5 through 9 where we are told; “Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strewed them in the way. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.” 
 
THE KING of Glory approached the Holy City, seated not on the richly-draped war-horse, or followed by a glittering band of soldiers, but riding on a lowly ass, and attended by a vast crowd of rustic pilgrims! He was welcomed, not by the Governor Pilate, or Caiaphas the High Priest, but by the children, the poorer folk, the blind and the lame whom He had healed. His lodging-place was the bare ground on the mount of Olives, and on one occasion, at least, He was hungry enough to seek fruit from the fig-leaf.

Have you been Blessed by The Lord Today? You can depend on that. Just to get up out of bed in the morning is a Blessing from The Lord. The very breath you inhale and exhale is from God. There is nothing that we do that has not been ordained and commanded by The Lord. 
 We would like to turn your attention to two New Testament Books; The Gospel according to Matthew, Chapter 9, and Verse 2, where we are told: “And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.” And The Gospel according to mark, Chapter 1 Verse 37, which reads “And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.” And for our topic we shall use this thought: “THE ATTRACTION OF CHRIST'S HUMANITY”

Back in my pre-teen days we had to go and spend the summer in Apple Valley, California. My Grand-Mother was given 40 acres, but never got the mule, as part of the reparations for slavery. On that property there was a well, which none of us knew how it was dug. The well was where we got our water from. It was the job of the older children to draw water from the well every day, but there was never any water in the well. 
 
 My Uncle Hezekiah had years before had a pump and a water faucet installed, but he did not tell us that he was getting the household water from the faucet about 50 yards from the house. Day after day we would go down to the well to draw water, but never drew any. After about a week Terry told us about the faucet. He wanted to play a joke on us by having the water already in the house. 
 
 Today we shall direct your attention to Genesis, Chapter 26, and Verse 22; where we are told “And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, for now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” And for a topic we shall use this thought “DIGGING WELLS”.

Have you ever tried to accomplish something without the co-operation of those whom you have asked to assist you? Let me tell you, the task becomes almost impossible to complete. 
 
 The same applies when it comes to completing God’s Work. What is Winter without Summer, and/or the other seasons? Today we shall like for you to turn your attention to First Corinthians, Chapter 3, and Verse 9; where we are told “For we are laborer’s together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.” And for our topic we shall use this subject: CO-OPERATING WITH GOD. 
 
IN THIS chapter the Apostle describes the Church as a garden or vineyard, in which the Divine Spirit is ever at work, superintending, directing, inspiring, and calling to co-operate with Him all His servants, whether they be Paul, Apollos, or Cephas; or as a vast temple, rising through the ages, requiring laborers to lay the foundations, others to build the walls, and others to put the final touches in the light of an accomplished purpose. 
 
In each case, the design, the successive stages of advancing progress, the engagement of the workers, the direction of their labors and their reward is entirely with the Husband-man and the Master-Builder. It is not our work, but His; we are not responsible for the results, but only to do His Will; He repays us by generous rewards, but there our responsibility ends.

Have you ever tried to accomplish something without the co-operation of those whom you have asked to assist you? Let me tell you, the task becomes almost impossible to complete.

 God has instructed us in His Holy Bible that we should give Him honor, glory and praise. What a marvelous way to start your day.

"Night And Morning" - Psalm 30:5

Today is the beginning of another year. It is our Prayer that God will grant each of you a very happy and prosperous new year. Many of you will be making Resolutions for the New Year. The one resolution we pray that each will make is ‘To do more in furthering The Kingdom of God. 
 
 Our Topic this New Year Day is: “MAKING A FRESH START”. We shall take our Scriptural references from Ephesians, Chapter 4, and Verses 22 through 24; and Romans 13:14. Ephesians reads; “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” 
 
 While in The Book of Romans we are told: "Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ.” 
 
WE CAN all start afresh! However far we have ascended, there is something higher; and however far we have fallen, it is always possible to make a fresh start. We need to take our place in the School of Christ and be taught by Him (Ephesians 4:20-21).

"Making A Freash Start" - Ephesians 4:22 - 24  &  Romans 13:14

Our topic for today is “A NEW NAME!” Taken from the Old Testament Book of The Bible. Genesis, Chapter 32:28 and The Book of Revelation, Chapter 3 and Verse 12. Genesis tells us; “And he said, thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. While Revelation tells us; “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name”. 
 
THROUGH THE Bible, name stands for nature. In those wise old days, names were not given because of their euphonious sound, but as revealing some characteristic trait. Shepherds are said to name their sheep by their defects; in some cases, Old Testament names seem to have been given on the same principle. It was so with Jacob. When the Angel said: "What is thy name?" he answered, "Jacob," Never shrink, in your dealings with God, to call yourself by your own specific title, whether it be the least of all saints, the chief of sinners, or the dissembler and cheat! 
 
The first condition of losing our old nature is to confess to its possession; the next is to yield to God. Be conquered by God, yield to Him, submit to His Will, especially in that one point where His Spirit presses thee hard. Life is full of the approaches of the wrestling Angel, only we rebut instead of allowing ourselves to be vanquished by Him.

"A New Name" - Genesis 32:28 & Revelation 3:12

Everything which we do has two sides. As a youngster, we played games of football and baseball, where one of us chose sides for the one they wanted on their team. I was the last one to be chosen because I was not adapt at sports as my friends. Every major sport has its teams. Even in life itself there are sides we need to take! 
 
 Some call it ‘The Game of Life”. Let me tell you, life is not a game! We must take life very seriously, and stop playing games with God. God has given us a choice of which side we want to be one. We can be on the side of evil, where we do everything that Satan wants us to do. Or, we can be on The Lord’s Side and follow the rules which God has set before us. 
 
 We call you attention to two Old Testament Books of The Holy Bible. Exodus Chapter 32, and Verse 26. Also 1 Kings Chapter 18 Verse 21. And for our topic we shall use this subject: “TAKING SIDES” 
 
 Exodus reads; “Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, who is on the LORD'S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him”. And 1 Kings tells us; "And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, how long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word”.

Many of you will know what I am talking about when I tell you that eating from the garden where you grew your own fruits and vegetables. The satisfaction of seeing your labor come to the table where you and your family eat. 
 
 There was a time when I lived in Richland Farms, a community where we had horses, cows, and chickens. For years, we did not have to go to the market for eggs and beef. God had blessed us with all the necessities for feeding our family.

"The Garden of Your Soul" - Isaiah 27:2 & 3

Storms have been tearing up our nation. We have had numerous Hurricane’s, Tornadoes, Earthquakes and Wild Fire Storms that have caused devastation and multiple millions of dollars in destruction. 
 
 But there in only one storm that God can help us with! Today we shall speak about; “STILLING LIFE'S STORMS”, and for a text we shall take Psalm 107, Verses 29 and 30; which read “He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so, he bringeth them unto their desired haven." 
 
THIS PSALM contains five wonderful pictures of life. First, we see the travelers who have lost their way (Psalm_107:4-9); next, prisoners and captives who sit in darkness (Psalm_107:10-16); then we see a sick-room (Psalm_107:17-22); next, a terrific storm at sea (Psalm_107:23-32); and finally, the lovely picture of a desert land being turned into a fertile landscape (Psalm_107:33-38).

On Saturday, we went to the reunion of the Class of 1957 from St. Leo’s Catholic School. It was a time to behold by all those present. Many of us were leaders in our fields of endeavor. 
 
 Several went into Law Enforcement with jobs in the Secret Service, Municipal Police Departments, and County Sheriff’s Department, and Preaching the Word of God. Some lead their way in the fields that God had chosen. All of us retired from these duties. Many have passed on. 
 
 It was a joy to see all of these friends which labored at the direction of The Holy Ghost. None of us know what God in His plan for us in the future. Buy whatever the assignment is I am sure that we will continue to be leaders.

My Daughter Michele told me one day that she was helping her lady friend who had just lost her daughter. What Michele did not realize was that she was that she was in the presence of God. How many time have you been in God’s presence and not known it? Every time we do “a good deed” as we call it, we are in God’s will. 
 Let us open our Bibles to the book of Psalms. In Psalm 139 we shall use this topic; “THE PRACTICE OF GOD'S PRESENCE” Psalm 139, Verses 7, 9 and 10 tells us “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.”

The Practice Of God's Presence - Psalm 139:7, 9 & 10

Our topic of discussion today is: “THE DIVIDING LINE”. We shall direct your attention to The Gospel according to Matthew, Chapter 25, and Verse 44, which tells us; "Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?” Matthew 25:44. 
 
WE CAN no longer serve our Lord as they did in the days of His flesh, when they ministered to Him of their substance. But He has left behind His representatives, and whatever we do for them He takes as to Himself. Therefore, we are debtors to all men; to every unit of the human family we must pay back a proportion of our infinite debt to the Son of Man from. Matthew 1:14). 
 
The dividing line hereafter will not be relating to a statement of Christian or other religious belief, one--not "How much do you believe?" Nor even a Devotional one--"How much did you pray?" But a Practical one--"What did you do?" The Apostle James shows that our faith is evidenced by our works (James 2:14-20). It is not enough to say "Lord, Lord!" We must show the same spirit as our Master in love for our fellows, or we shall be rejected at the last.

We have a subject that is vastly misunderstood by Christians. Our Scripitural text is taken from The Gospel of Mark, Chapter 11 and Verse 24 which read; "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” 
 
 For our topic we shall use this thought “BELIEVING AND RECEIVING!” 
IT IS not enough to pray and ask; we must believe that we have received. We can only do this when we know that we have asked according to God's Will (1 John 5:14-15). This can be determined by referring to His Word, which teems with great and precious promises, like so many banknotes or cheques waiting to be cashed. 
 
In prayer, it is well to be deliberate, to consider what we are about to ask, to discover some promise under which we can make our request; and then, having asked, to wait while the soul, so to speak, takes or appropriates what it needs. It may be that the time is not ripe for it to be actually bestowed, but the request is granted, and the coveted gift is already set aside in God's storehouse, labelled with the name of the petitioner, just as we sometimes get our Christmas presents ready and put them aside, and at the right moment they shall be dispatched. 
 
We must also live the Christ-like life. Doing those things Jesus Christ did when He walked among us. We can live our life doing what pleases us, nor live a life of sin, keeping up with the Jonses’ drinking alchoholic beverages, uses drugs, committing adultery and fornication.

Tomorrow is The Fourth of July, we shall celebrate the Independence of our breakaway from The British Empire. It took many long years of service by those whom worked for this new nation to be built. 
 
 The United States was built on the teaching of the Holy Bible and the Mighty Hand of God. Today we shall use for our topic of discussion “SERVICE FOR OTHERS” and for our scriptural text we shall use Verses for I Timothy and II Timothy; The text we shall take from I Timothy is Chapter 4, verses 14 & 15, which read: “Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.” 
 
 And II Timothy Chapter 1 and verse 6 tell us “The grace of God can so reveal itself in a young man or girl, that he or she will become an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity”. 
 
MOST YOUNG people are fond of athletics, and the Roman and Greek youth were specially addicted to them. The Divine Spirit does not under-value any of these means for keeping our physical health vigorous. But if we pay such earnest attention to these things we ought, all the more, to give attention to godliness, which disciplines the soul for Eternal Life.

The message which God has given us today is: “The New Covenant of Grace: A Resurrection Covenant” And we shall take our Scriptures from The Gospel according to Luke, Chapter 22, and Verses 18 and 20; which read “For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. Likewise, also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. 
 
 Just as the new covenant of grace is a covenant of the Spirit; it is also a covenant of resurrection. When the grace of God is allowed to work in us, God applies the resurrection of Christ to our lives. This gracious work gives us access to the eternal life of our risen, triumphant, living Lord Jesus.
