The church as a body of believers must realize that we are called to make known to all principalities and powers the various truths concerning the power of God in Christ Jesus. Plus, to walk in fellowship with one another under the headship of Christ.

Remember, because of grace, we can abound in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence and love but to most of all, to abound in grace (2 Cor 9:8). 
 
Prayer Focus for Today: To pray, that as we plan our day, that we first talk with Christ to give to us a clear understanding of how and where we can use and go forth, to minister His gift of grace that He has given in our lives to others.

John 17:1-5 
He that have an ear let him hear what the Spirit is trying to say to the world and to the believers, “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ Whom You sent. I have glorified You on the earth, I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. And now, O Father glorify Me TOGETHER with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was” (John 17:3-5). Everything that Jesus did on earth, He did together with the Father. Disciple Principle: We are to glorify One God who manifested Himself to us as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is God Almighty the Creator of all heaven and earth. Remember: We are overcomers because Christ first overcame the world by being God and by believe we can have eternal life (John 17:3). Giving Glory Together!

John 17:1-5 
He that have an ear let him hear what the Spirit is trying to say to the world and to the believers, “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ Whom You sent. I have glorified You on the earth, I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. And now, O Father glorify Me TOGETHER with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was” (John 17:3-5). Everything that Jesus did on earth, He did together with the Father. Disciple Principle: We are to glorify One God who manifested Himself to us as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is God Almighty the Creator of all heaven and earth. Remember: We are overcomers because Christ first overcame the world by being God and by believe we can have eternal life (John 17:3). Given the Helper! (Part Two)
John 16:5-15

Giving Warning of Hatred! 
John 15:18-25 
Jesus warns the disciples that the world will hate them and us today because they hated Christ (John 15:18-19). They hated Him because they “did not know the Father” who sent Jesus (John 15:21) to show the love and works of the Father (John 3:16, John 15:24). They hated Christ so much even though He was in innocent, they put Jesus to death (Ps 109:3-5, John 15:25). The world hates Jesus, the world hates the Father, because they reveal the sin and wickedness of people’s hearts and they will also hate you, because you are in Christ and we live and stands for His righteousness (John 15:22-24, James 4:17). So how are we able to withstand all this hatred? Jesus tells them that He and the Father will send forth the Helper (Comforter, Holy Spirit) who is the Spirit of Truth. He will defend you and He will testify concerning the pure truth of Jesus Christ (John 15:26-27). Disciple Principle: If you are in Jesus and Jesus is in You, do not fear those who hate you and persecute you, because you have the Sprit of Truth dwelling within you. Remember: We are overcomers because of the power of the Father and Sons love, which come to us by the power of the Holy Spirit. Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world (1 John 4:4).

John 6:22-40 
Why do you follow Jesus Christ? Is it because of the physical things He gives or because of emotions you feel or because of the ministry you have (John 6:26-27)? Jesus wanted the people to see that it is not because of these things that they see or experience, but it is because we believe and trust in Him as the “Bread of Heaven” that was sent down by the Heavenly Father (John 6:32-33). Listen to what Jesus said to them and also says to us today. Firstly, “This is the work of God, that you BELIEVE Him who He sent” (John 629). Secondly, to BELIEVE that “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who BELIEVES in me shall never thirst” (John 6:35). Disciple Principle: Jesus wanted the people to follow Him not based on food or the ministries that they may have, but to believe, to follow, to build our life through believing in the rock of Jesus Christ (Luke 6:46-49). It was God who feeds and quenches our thirst (Ex 16:4 &15, Neh 9:15, Ps 78:78:24-25). Remember: All life and ministry, all comes to us only by believing that Christ is the great “I AM” of everything. The King calls ALL nations before Himself and He will separate ALL people into two groups, the categories of the sheep and goats (Matt 25:31-32). The measuring stick was based on seeing and doing ministry to those around them, verses not seeing or not doing (Matt 25:39, 44-45). The righteous, God’s children gave. To the hungry they gave food, to the thirsty they gave drink, to the stranger they gave hospitality, to the naked they gave clothing, to the sick the gave help and comfort and to the prisoner they gave encouragement and companionship (Matt 25: 35-40). The Kings states that when they did it unto those people you did it unto Me the King (Matt 25:40). Disciple Principle: There will be a day when our King return in His glory, with ALL His angels, when the whole world, all nations will see and will be separated into two camps only. The righteous (sheep) who will be given eternal life and the unrighteous (goats) who will be given everlasting punishment (Matt 25:46). Remember: Ask the King to help you to see and then strengthen you to do His ministry through you to His people (Matt 7:12, Matt 9:41)!

Genesis 50:15-21 
At the time of Joseph death, he tells and prophecy to his brothers twice, that there will be a time when God will visit them (Gen 50:24 & 25). Joseph enters a binding oath with Israel that when that day of visitation takes place, carry my bones back to the promise land (Gen 50:24-26). He also reminds them that a covenant was made by blood with Abraham and their fathers, that Canaan would become their promise land (Gen 50:24). Finally in Moses time, 400 years later when Israel was now a nation and after all the plagues where over, Moses biggest concern, as they left Egypt was to make sure they took Joseph’s bones with them to the promise land (Ex 13:19). Disciple Principle: Jesus comes to Israel and all the peoples of the world at the fulness of time, the right time, showings that it was now their time for visitation by God (Luke 1:68-69). But the sad part was that many reject the time of His visitation (Luke19:41-44). Remember: There will be a time in each of our lives where at least once God through Jesus Christ will visit us and we will have a choice before us, stay in Egypt (the world) or journey on into the promise land (Kingdom of Heaven) (1 Pet 2:11-12). We all need to get ready for our time of visitation!

Giving Forgiveness! 
Genesis 50:15-21 
After the death of Jacob, the big question that came to the surface very quickly was, will Joseph fulfill his fathers command and forgive his brothers of their trespasses, sins and evil (Gen 50:15-17). Joseph response was, to point his brothers back to the purposes and will of God (Gen 50:19). Joseph knew that God had been with him and was working through him to save and give physical life to the people with food (Gen 50:20). But there is another important thing he tells them, that they are not to be afraid, for he would continue to provide, comfort, and show kindness to them (Gen 50:21). Disciple Principle: Jesus wants us to walk in the ways of forgiveness (Eph 4:32, Col 3:13, Matt 6:12-1 4). The Father sent His son so that we could be saved and come into the fulness of life with Him (John 3:16). Remember: Christ through faith extends forgiveness to us and He will continue to provide, comfort, and show kindness to us (Acts 3:19, 2 Cor 1:3-7).

Giving Forgiveness!
Genesis 50:15-21
After the death of Jacob, the big question that came to the surface very quickly was, will Joseph fulfill his fathers command and forgive his brothers of their trespasses, sins and evil (Gen 50:15-17). Joseph response was, to point his brothers back to the purposes and will of God (Gen 50:19). Joseph knew that God had been with him and was working through him to save and give physical life to the people with food (Gen 50:20). But there is another important thing he tells them, that they are not to be afraid, for he would continue to provide, comfort, and show kindness to them (Gen 50:21).  Disciple Principle:  Jesus wants us to walk in the ways of forgiveness (Eph 4:32, Col 3:13, Matt 6:12-1 4). The Father sent His son so that we could be saved and come into the fulness of life with Him (John 3:16). Remember: Christ through faith extends forgiveness to us and He will continue to provide, comfort, and show kindness to us (Acts 3:19, 2 Cor 1:3-7).

Giving Honour and Mourning! 
Genesis 49:29 - 50:1-14 
Jacob and Joseph oath to each other and with the family was binding (Gen 49:28-33). After his father death, he wept over him with tears and kissing (Gen 50:1). Then they prepared Jacob body to be taken back to Canaan (Gen 50:1-3). The brothers and the people of Egypt mourn for Jacob for 70 days (Gen 50: 3). Then Pharaoh gave permission for his servants and elders to travel to Canaan with chariots and horses (Gen 50:4-6). There they honoured and mourn over Jacob for seven days (Gen 50:10). Even the Canaanites named the place “Abel Mizraim” meaning the “mourning of Egypt” (Gen 50:11). All this was in keeping with the covenant promise of God. Disciple Principle: We need to see that it is impotent to both honour and mourn for those we love. This is a two-sided coin. It is ok to honour people and to mourn for them over a long period of time. Remember: Christ taught in the beatitude that those who mourn will be blessed with comfort (Matt 5:40), but in the future there will be a time that God will wipe away all tears (Rev 21:4).
