4/29/20 QT is from Deuteronomy 11:13-21. Love God with all your heart, soul, and strength and God will take care of you! Keep God's Words in your heart and put them up where you can see them and remember them! Jewish people sometimes put up a Mezuzah on their doorposts so they can remember God's Word. I'll show you one in today's video!

As some of you begin online school (and some have already started and are getting used to it!), let's continue to love and honor God by taking time in God's Word and obeying God. 
 
Let's also obey God's Word that says that we should "love outsiders". One way to obey this is by loving and praying for our neighbors who are Muslims. Right now our Muslim neighbors are in the season of Ramadan, a special time of prayer when Muslims pray earnestly to God. Let's pray that they will indeed meet God and receive mercy from God, and come to know Jesus as God.

Let's remember that God is the one who gives us the ability to do all that we do, and God is FOR us. Even though we may go through hardships and challenges, in the end, God's blessing is upon us.

YAY! We have completed Week 3 of the COVID-19 School Break. 
4/3/20 Friday's QT passage is Deuteronomy 4:25-31, "Our Loving God". 
 
In today's passage, God tells his people to worship God alone, because if they worship idols, they will be scattered among other nations (taken into captivity!!!). But even then, if they seek God with all their hearts, they will find God! If we seek God with all of our hearts, we will find God! God is here with us today, so let's trust in Him!

Hello Church of Philippi CM! We are now in Week 3 of the COVID-19 School Break. 3/31/20 Tuesday's QT passage is Deuteronomy 3:23-29. 
 
In today's QT passage, we see that Moses does not get to go into the Promised Land, and God tells him to go and look at the land, but to not go in. In the video, I said that Moses hit the rock twice instead of once - but that is actually my mistake. CORRECTION: God had commanded Moses to speak to a rock to make water come forth, but Moses hit the rock in his anger toward God's people and disobedience to God. This is the reason why God said that Moses will not enter the Promised Land. But like I mention in the video, I do think that it is still a part of God's goodness that God would keep Moses from leading the conquest and asking Joshua to do it instead. 
 
Bottom line: we need to learn to stop and be still as we trust in God's goodness.

As we stay home, there are many plans that we have had to let go of (Spring Break, traveling, birthday parties) and it is not easy. But there will come a time when God says "go" and when that time comes, we will be ready to obey!

It's Week 2 of our COVID-19 school break! 
3/26/20 Thursday's QT passage is Deuteronomy 2:1-13. 
 
Today's bible passage tells us how God's people learned to follow God in the wilderness for 40 years. God provided for his people through that whole time, and toward the end, gave them specific instructions NOT to bother the descendants of Esau and Lot - both people groups that God cared for and provided for. 
 
As we hear the news that our school closings will continue for at least another month, let's walk into this time of "coronavirus wilderness" with God, and trust in His goodness.
