Jesus said to them, “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 
But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. 
And as for you, Capernaum, 'Will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to the netherworld.'" 
Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me."

ANG PAGBASA GIKAN SA EBANGHELYO SUMALA NI SAN LUCAS (Lk. 10: 13-16) 
Si Jesus miingon: “Pagkamakalilisang unya sa mahitabo kanimo, Corasin! Ug pagkamakalilisang usab sa mahitabo kanimo, Betsaida! Kay kon ang mga milagro nga nahimo diha kaninyo nangahimo pa didto sa Tiro ug sa Sidon, dugay na untang naghinulsol ang mga tawo didto ug nagpakita niini sa paglingkod nga nagsul-ob og bisting sako, ug nagbolibod ug abo sa ilang kaugalingon. Sa adlaw sa paghukom ang Dios mas maluoy pa unya sa Tiro ug sa Sidon kay kaninyo. Ug mahitungod kanimo, Capernaum, buot mong ituboy ang imong kaugalingon hangtod sa langit, apan ibanlod ka hinoon ngadto sa impiyerno!”

An argument arose among the disciples about which of them was the greatest. 
Jesus realized the intention of their hearts and took a child and placed it by his side 
and said to them, "Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest." 
Then John said in reply, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow in our company." 
Jesus said to him, "Do not prevent him, for whoever is not against you is for you." 
 
CEBUANO TRANSLATION 
 
ANG PAGBASA GIKAN SA EBANGHELYO SUMALA NI SAN LUKAS 
Unya naglalis ang mga tinun-an kon kinsa ang labing dako kanila. Nahibalo si Jesus sa ilang gihunahuna, busa mikuha siya og bata, gipatindog niya sa iyang kiliran, ug miingon kanila “Ang modawat niining bata sa akong ngalan, modawat kanako, ug ang modawat kanako, modawat usab kaniya nga nagpadala kanako. Kay ang labing ubos kaninyong tanan mao ang labing dako.” 
Si Juan miingon kaniya, “Magtutudlo, nakakita kamig tawo nga sa imong ngalan naghingilin og mga yawa, ug amo siyang gidid-an kay dili man siya sakop sa atong pundok.” 
“Ayaw siya pagdid-i,” miingon si Jesus kaniya ug sa ubang mga tinun-an, “kay ang dili batok kaninyo dapig kaninyo.”

Saturday of the Twenty-Third Week in Ordinary Time. 
 
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 6:43-49

Jesus said to his disciples : "A good tree does not bear rotten fruit, nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit. 
For every tree is known by its own fruit. For people do not pick figs from thornbushes, nor do they gather grapes from brambles. 
A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good, but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil; for from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks. 
Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' but not do what I command? 
I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them. 
That one is like a person building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built. 
But the one who listens and does not act is like a person who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against it, it collapsed at once and was completely destroyed."

Ang tagsatagsa ka kahoy maila sa iyang bunga’ dili ka makapupo og igos gikan sa sampinit, ni ubas gikan sa kadyapa. Ang maayong tawo magsulti’g maayo gikan sa maayong mga butang nga anaa sa iyang kasingkasing; apan ang tawo nga dautan magbuhat og dautan gikan sa mangil-ad nga mga butang sa iyang kasingkasing. Kay kon unsa ang anaa sa kasingkasing sa tawo mao usab ang iyang isulti”. 
“Nganong nagtawag man kamo kanako, ‘Ginoo, Ginoo’ nga dili man kamo mobuhat sa akong gisugo kaninyo? Ang moduol kanako ug mamati sa akong gisulti ug motuman niini, ipakita ko kaninyo sa unsa siya mahisama. Sama siya sa tawo nga nagtukod og balay: magkalot siya’g lawom ug gipahiluna niya ang sukaranan diha sa ibabaw sa bato. Thursday of the Seventeenth Week in Ordinary Time 
 
Gospel: Matthew 13:47-53

Jesus said to the disciples: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. 
When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away. 
Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous 
and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth. 
Do you understand all these things? They answered, "Yes." 
And he replied, "Then every scribe who has been instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old." 
When Jesus finished these parables, he went away from there.

Si Jesus miingon ngadto sa katawhan, “Ang Gingharian sa langit sama usab sa usa ka baling nga gitaktak didto sa Ianaw, nga nakakuha sa tanang matang sa isda. Inigkapuno na niini, bitaron kini sa mga mananagat ngadto sa daplin sa lanaw ug manlingkod sila aron paghagpat sa isda: ang mga maayong isda isulod nila sa ilang mga bukag, ug ang walay pulos ilang isalibay. Mao usab kini ang mahitabo sa katapusan sa kalibutan: moanhi ang mga anghel ug lainon nila ang mga dautang tawo gikan sa mga maayo, ug itambug sila ngadto sa hudno nga nagdilaab. Didto maghilak sila ug magkagot ang ilang mga ngipon. 
“Nakasabot ba kamo niining mga butanga?” nangutana si Jesus kanila. 
“Oo,” mitubag sila. 
Busa miingon siya, “Sa ato pa, ang tanang magtutudlo sa Balaod nga nahimong tinun-an sa Gingharian sa Langit sama sa usa ka tagbalay nga nagkuha’g bag-o ug karaang mga butang gikan sa iyang tipiganan.”
