It's so powerful to think that the LORD actually holds us to every word we speak to Him . . . think about it!

This Wednesday night Bible study in Judges 11:1-27 shows us the similarities in the lives of Jephthah, Joseph and Jesus, it also shows us three things about Jephthah's life that we should all exemplify in our own lives.   Each of us should consider this . . . when it's all be said done  . . .  The Lord who is the Judge, will render, Judgement to each.

"So it was, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel again played the harlot with the Baals, and made Baal-Berith their god." Judges 8:33.  Now we see once again the down-ward spiral of the children of Israel  . . . and one man in particular "Abimelech" who's power was his god. . .  a great example of what happens when "self" sits on the throne of a life and we can learn a lot from this teaching on what not to do.  Abimelech was truly a ledge in his own mind . . .  and there was no room for the true GOD in his life.

This Sunday morning teaching in 1 Corinthians 14:12-25 Paul continues the discussion on the topic of "tongues", in this portion of scripture  . . . who knew that there was so much to be said about the gift of tongues and the proper and improper use of this very powerful gift.

This Wednesday night Bible study in Judges 4:11-24 is the account of Jael taking out Sisera a mighty man of war and what the motive of Jael's heart was . . .which only God can judge . . . but there is a lesson in it for all of us.

This Wednesday night Bible study in Judges 3:31 through 4:3 showed us some very powerful principles that as believers we should live by.  Here's just one little nugget  . . . hidden in these names is a message for all of us  . . . Gara means meditation,  Ehud means one who praises, Eglon which means very fat bull but represents the world or worldliness.  . . . So put it all together and this is the message we get "When meditation brings forth praise,  worldliness dies by the two edged sword [the word of God.]

"Misrepresenting God"  Judges 3:31 - 4:3

This Wednesday night Bible in Joshua 22:9-34 gives us an example of what NOT to do and the LORD is so faithful and HIS unfailing love says to us "Nevertheless . . . .If the land that you have chosen is unclean, then cross over to the land pf the possession of the LORD, where the tabernacle stands."  In other words if you've made a wrong decision  . . . . STOP  . . . . and agree with God  that it is sin . . .  confess that sin and cross over into forgiveness and go in the right direction  . . .  to the LORD and where HIS tabernacle stands.  Don't continue in that sin just to save face or appearance sake.     This message is so very very powerful.

This is Wednesday night Bible study in Joshua 22:1-8, we had a great discussion on what "marginal Christianity" looks like from this Old Testament  example with the half tribe of Manasseh. . . .  and the conclusion is surprising.

Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:1-0-17 gives further instructions on marriage, and this section of scripture is referring to the responsibilities between married believers and those who have become a believer and are now faced with being married to a unbeliever.  Paul is answering questions that were asked in a letter he received from the Corinthian church.

This is Wednesday night Bible study in Joshua 7:19-26 and we see the  end results of Achan's unwillingness to settle the matter of his sin before it was to late.  This teaching has so many applications to our lives and in the times we live.

This Wednesday night Bible study in Joshua 7:10-19 show us that many times defeat comes after a great victory because we let our guard down and we become prideful and think we can handle things by ourselves and we don't seek the Lord.  That's what Joshua did here and also there was sin in the camp that the Lord had to deal with.  This teaching is powerful to where we live today.

This Wednesday night Bible study in Joshua 5:10-15 & 6:1-2  was so amazing because Jesus came in the flesh to show Joshua that HE was the Commander of heavens army and that Joshua could be of good courage and "trust and obey", also it is a beautiful picture of "if God is for us who can be against us."
