The resulting picture of life--deeply committed marriages; passionate, devoted singleness; childlike faith and radical generosity--seems impossible.  And indeed it is.  Without God. Naaman's Secret (2 Kings 5:1-15)

Anna's prophecy recognizes Jesus as the answer to her people's deepest longings, even though what He will in fact deliver is very different than what they expect or are even asking for.  Jesus has dealt with sin and offers forgiveness.  His resurrection assures us that God's total remaking of the world is in tow. An Answer Bigger Than Our Hopes (Luke 2:36-40)

This message on Matthew 9 tracks two different stories:  a man with a very sick daughter and a woman with chronic bleeding.  From these interwoven stories, we see that Jesus is not running late, rather He's taking His time to work out His plans.
